NORMAN — After a week defined by coaching changes and player departures, the Oklahoma Sooners are looking to flip the script this weekend. A crucial group of transfer targets has arrived in Norman, representing potential immediate starters for the 2026 squad.

Restocking the Offense

The top priority is finding a tight end, and the Sooners are hosting one of the best available: Hayden Hansen. The Florida transfer is a massive target who could immediately stabilize a tight end room that has lost both its coach (Joe Jon Finley) and its top players.

Also on campus is Colorado State running back Lloyd Avant. Avant’s visit comes at a perfect time, as the Sooners just lost another talented back, Taylor Tatum, to the portal today. Avant brings proven production and could pair well with the returning backs to form a solid committee.

Trenches Focus

The staff is also hosting Arkansas State defensive tackle Cody Sigler. The 6-foot-3 interior lineman would add much-needed beef to a defensive front that is transitioning to the SEC grind.

For Brent Venables and his staff, closing on these targets isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity to field a competitive roster in 2026.
